Dorothy Murray

Dorothy (Malone) Murray, 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct 14, 2012 at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters with her family by her side. She was born in Albany, NY and was the loving daughter to the late John H. Malone and Mary Ann (Coyle) Malone. She later resided in Colonie for 70 years with her family. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of over 52 years Joseph G. Murray, her son Lawrence Murray, and her siblings Virginia (Malone) Cavanaugh, James Malone, John Malone jr. Through the years she has had many close friends with whom she has shared good times and many great memories.

She was the devoted mother of eight adoring children: Paul (Nuriya [Nina]) Murray, Craig (Maryanne) Murray, David (Linda) Murray, her daughter-in-law Leona Murray, Joseph (Patricia) Murray, Lynn Murray Donnelly, Michael (Kimberly) Murray, Richard Murray. She is the proud grandmother of fifty six grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany New York 12205 in Dorothy's memory.
Funeral service for Dorothy will be on Thursday at 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie .Interment will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home.
