Dorothy A. O'Rourke

Dorothy A. O'Rourke, 101, of Albany NY, wife of the late Jack O'Rourke, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 

Dorothy lived at home to the age of 99. She and her late husband of 66 years, Jack O'Rourke, lived many happy years in the Village of Colonie. 

She is survived by her son Jim O'Rourke and daughter Deborah Meehan; Grandchildren John (April) and Frank (Mario) Weldon; Great Grandchildren Josh and Donimick, Amber Weldon, and many nieces and nephews. 

Dorothy enjoyed sharing her good nature while volunteering some 30 years with the Special Olympics and recreation programs. After an accident, she moved to the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home where she met new friends and enjoyed the wonderful care and kindness of the staff. 

Family and Friends are welcome to join in a Memorial Visitation to honor Dorothy's life on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 10:30 am - 12: 00 pm with a Memorial Service to begin at 12:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205.
