COLONIE – Dorothy P. Pellegrino, 84, of Colonie, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Inn of Community Hospice at St. Peter's Hospital.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Alice Hill. Dorothy was educated in Albany and Brooklyn. She graduated from the Fashion Design and Art School in New York City. She worked for Emerson Radio & TV and later was employed as a nurse with several local nursing agencies for many years.
Dorothy is the beloved mother of Patricia (Vincent) Forte, Richard Pellegrino, Thomas (Estelle) Pellegrino and Michael Pellegrino. She is the sister of Alice (Robert) Bosen. Grandmother of Angela Forte, Christopher, Sean and Jacklyn Pellegrino. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday morning at 10:30 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Interment at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands will follow the Mass. To leave a special message for the family online, visit NewcomerAlbany.com
