Dorothy Ann (Butler) Roy, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Dorothy was the daughter of the late Daniel and Helen Butler of Troy.
She was the loving wife of 24 days short of their 50th Anniversary to William C. Roy.
Dorothy is the loving mother of; William S. Roy, Tracy (Steven) Massari, Nicole Judge; her son-in-law Thomas Judge. Grandmother to Connor and Devin Massari, Madison and Matthew Judge, Cole and Sofie Roy who fondly referred to her as Nana. She was the sister to Helen Connors, Mary Bove, Elizabeth Shufelt and Barbara (Glen) Bold.
She was predeceased by John Butler, Catherine Connells, Florence McBride, Aaron "Jimmy" Butler and Daniel Butler.
Dorothy was a dedicated wife and mother who truly loved her grandchildren. She had an outgoing personality and would engage in lengthy conversation with total strangers that had a lasting impression.
She showed tremendous strength and courage in her fight for life. Thank you to Melissa of visiting nurses of Schenectady who displayed love and compassion during all of her visits. A thank you to hospice of Schenectady for all of their support.
A private service will be held for the immediate family.
