Dorothy M. Schipano

Colonie- Dorothy M. Schipano, 84, passed away at her home on December 21, 2017. Born on December 10, 1933 in Albany, NY, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Cecilia Cahill. Dorothy worked for New York State in the Department of Education for 20 years.
Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Sal E. Schipano; her children: Mary (Paul) Hilston and Sam J. Schipano, Sr.; her sister Ann Sowalski; her 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Caroline Meliti; her brother-in-law, Tony Schipano and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday, December 26 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 6 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at 9 am on Wednesday, December 27 at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
