Dorothy Stees

SCHENECTADY- Dorothy E. Stees, 86, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Monday January 29, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband LTC (Ret) Ernest W. Stees in 2000.
Dorothy was born in Philadelphia to Ray and Eda Latt Rodgers on June 24, 1920. She was stationed with her husband on Army bases around the world including Hawaii, Pennsylvania, California, Ohio, Turkey and Taiwan.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Ray (Cheryl) Stees of Clifton Park and Bruce (Donna) Stees of Sanford, NC ; grandchildren Kevin (Jocelyn) Stees of GA., Brent (Wendy) Stees of MD, Gregory Stees of Brooklyn and Eric Stees of SC; and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marlene Ross and niece Darlene (Robert) Carr of Philadelphia.
A private military funeral service will be held at Saratoga National Cemetery where she will be inurned with her late husband for their final tour of duty. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Newcomerfamily.com.
