Dorothy Marie Trianni

Albany- Dorothy Marie Trianni 84 passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. She was born in Philadelphia PA, made her life in Albany.

Dorothy's career was in clerical administration in several departments of the NYS Government. Following retirement, she worked in private sector industries of her interest; health care, law and insurance.

She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Guilderland Elks. Her devotion was attending services at The Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Latham NY.

Dorothy had a great interest in computers as far back as the DOS age; she embraced all the "gadgets", as she referred to them, that accompanied. She successfully installed a hard drive by herself once. She was an "information junkie" even into her 80's. Through photography, her love of the technical world intersected with her passion for the beauty of the natural world.

She loved to read. Her favorites included Greek mythology, poetry and science fiction. But the Sunday newspaper "funnies" found a way to capture her eye. She felt your interests had to blink every once in a while.

Always with a smile, kind words would flow from her at every greeting. Honesty was her strongest trait.

She is predeceased by her devoted Husband of 54 years, Leonard P. They had the joy of sharing a great 50th anniversary celebration with many family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Pasquale D, Steven L , daughter Dr. Tina M (Brian) Reeves (Rochester); Grandchildren David P (Elizabeth) of North Carolina, Patrick M, Nicholas J and Jessica L; Great grand-twins, expected in March, of North Carolina.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 2pm-4pm at New Comer Funeral Home Colonie. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10am on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Colonie.

After services, guests are welcomed to rejoice and celebrate Dorothy's life at The Lutheran Church of the Resurrection 645 Watervliet Shaker Rd Latham NY.
