Dorothy R. Warner

Dorothy R. Warner, 94, wife of the late Laurence A. Warner of Slingerlands, NY, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Green Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Catskill, NY.Dorothy was born November 11, 1930 in Albany, New York. She was the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Dorothy (Roehr) Wilson.

 Dorothy graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in Delmar, NY and then worked for several years at Montgomery Ward’s Department Store. She married Laurence in 1961 and became a homemaker raising three sons.There were two things that were most important in Dorothy’s life: her love of family and her love for her God. She was a devoted Christian, living out her faith through every word and action. Dorothy impressed the importance of a faith in God to her family and demonstrated that in the Christian home she created.

Dorothy is survived by sons Keith and his wife Lisa of Leeds, NY and David of Albany, NY; 6 grandchildren, Cassandra, Jeremy, Brian, Rebecca, Haviland, and Leatha and 4 great grandchildren, Addison, Everett, Bennett and Elsie. She is also survived by her brother Robert of Slingerlands, NY and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband Laurence, she was predeceased by her son Dale, and 2 brothers Everett and Dale. 

Family and friends may call, Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 9:00am to 11:00am at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY. A Memorial Service led by her son Rev. Keith Warner will follow the calling hours at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Albany, NY.
