PITTSTOWN- Douglas S. Nicks, 55, passed away on Thursday June 5, 2008 at home after a long battle with cancer.
Doug was born in Albany and he was the son of the late Howard A. Nicks and Elizabeth Shollenberger Nicks. He was a proud to be the first YMCA camper in 1962. Doug was a graduate of the NYS Military Academy.
He is survived by his devoted longtime friend, Mary Beddow Tapler and her daughters, Christine Beddow Tenace, Cynthia Beddow Masten and Jaci Beddow Venditti.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial services on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 at Newcomer- Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery. To leave a special message in memory of Doug, visit NewcomerFamily.com
