Dr. Jesse Nixon Jr. of 200 Blessing Rd, Slingerlands, passed away on Friday, October 19th, 2018. He passed peacefully at St. Peters Hospice after a short illness. He was born in Heidelberg, Mississippi in 1937 to Jesse and Phyliss (Porter) Nixon. He grew up in Milwaukee, WI, earning a track scholarship to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he went on to earn his B.S and Ph.D. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne, and his sons, Gregory, Lamont, Sean, and Ian.
A memorial will be held at Israel A.M.E church, 381 Hamilton St, Albany, on November 2nd, from 6-8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Inn at St. Peters Hospice in his name.
