Dwayne Eric Lee passed away suddenly on Friday, September 27, 2024. He was born in Albany, NY and the son of Evangelist B. Petty and step-son of (the late) Deacon Charles Petty. He is predeceased by his sister Charlette Petty.

Dwayne leaves to mourn: his wife Sandra, his sons: Dwayne Jr. (DJ) and Jaquan Coleman (Quannie); his grandchildren: Kesiya Lee, Spirit Lee and Kayson Lee. Also, leaves to mourn: his wife Sandra’s daughter and grandchildren.

He also leaves to mourn: his mother: Evangelist Betty Petty, his Aunts: Mrs. Patricia Beatty (Albany) and Ms. Helen Lee (Lauderhill FL); his Siblings: Charlene Petty, Charmelle Petty-Baxter, Jeffrey Petty, Carla Petty-Miller and Christopher Petty; Nieces: Tiana Sanders, Chrisheena Hill, Mynesha, Nyasia, Marvett Hooks; Serasia Petty, Secoya Petty, Sierra Satterwhite, Jeyonna Petty. Nephews: Angelo Satterwhite, Marcus Baxter, Marcel Hooks; Sequan Petty, Shadai, Elijah, and Isaiah Miller; Jarell Petty. Also, a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Dwayne was educated in the Albany Public Schools and he attended Niagara County Community College in Sanborn NY. He was employed by Amazing Grace Transportation until his health permitted him to leave his employment. Dwayne E. Lee: a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend. He enjoyed sports, especially Basketball. He wanted the best for others and would encourage them to “be yourself” as you move forward. Some would even call him the “gentle giant”. Although he has transitioned and will be missed, God loves him best.
