E. Douglas Hart

E. Douglas Hart Jr. (Doug) passed away peacefully at home on January 27th, 2016 in Schenectady after a short battle with cancer.
Doug was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late E. Douglas and Margaret Hart and is pre-deceased by brothers Gary and Rodney. He moved to Schenectady in 1964 and began a long career in broadcasting, mostly with WNYT in Menands, NY. He was an aficionado of cooking, music and the arts, saving his greatest passion and skill for playing the trumpet, especially jazz; he also saved some passion for his beloved NY Mets.
He was the loving father of Darren and E. Douglas Hart III, and dear grandfather to Sarah, Madeline, Jack and Abby Hart.
A private service for family and close friends will be held Sunday, January 31st at Newcomer.
