ALBANY- E. Joan K. Zambs, 82, of Albany passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at her residence. Joan was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Harold and Elsie Snow Kuhn. She has resided in Albany for most of her life. Joan retired from NYNEX as a keyboard operator. She enjoyed going to Saratoga Raceway. Joan was a devoted mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Cris Zambs-Garhartt of East Greenbush; her grandchildren, Caron (Shawn) Dias of Rotterdam, Richard (Alisha) Garhartt of Berlin, and Chad (Kayte) Garhartt of Albany; her great grandchildren, Steven Dias, Mason Garhartt, Mackenzie Garhartt and Tyler Garhartt. Joan is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Bloomberg of Delmar, nieces and nephews and her cat, Sammy.
In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband, Steven Robert Zambs in 1959 and by her son Steven Mark Zambs in 1991.
Services will be private.
