Earnest L. Morton, Jr.

ALBANY, NY – Earnest L. Morton Jr., 41, affectionately known as J.R.,went home on Sunday, April 24, 2011. He was currently working as a systems support specialist in the City of Albany. Earnest is survived by his mother, Eljean Williams; his children, Ashatiq, Earnest III and Jaida; his sisters, Corinne Williams and Takesha (Kenny) Jones; his niece and nephew, Ahyana and Daquan Jones and his longtime companion, Danielle Frisby. Also surviving are six aunts, two uncles and a host of cousins, relatives and friends. Earnest was predeceased by his father, Earnest L. Morton, Sr.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the E.J. Morton Children's Education Fund in c/o the funeral home would be appreciated.
