Earnest Phillips

GUILDERLAND- Earnest G. Phillips, 75, of Guilderland, passed away on Tuesday September 13, 2005 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was born in Albany and grew up in Selkirk. He was the son of the late Henry and Carrie Phillips.
Earnie was US Navy veteran during WWII He was a mechanic for Murphy's Overhead Doors in Albany for many years, retiring in 1995. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Susan H. Phillips. He is the beloved father of Cynthia (Chad) Sendzik, Judith Holmes, Wayne A. (Rebecca) Phillips, Scott C. (Jessica) Phillips and the late Scott R. and Kevin W. Phillips. He is the father in law of Kim Phillips. Earnie is the brother of William F. Phillips and the late Henry and Frederick Phillips. He was also predeceased by his grandson Cody J. Phillips. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Memorys Garden. At the request of the family memorial contributions are suggested to Western Turnpike Rescue Squad, 200 Centre Drive, Albany, NY 12203.
