TROY-Earnestine Harrison, 69 passed away peacefully on Saturday May 2, 2020 with her loving husband, Reddick of 48 years, right by her side.

Earnestine was born on August 26, 1950 in Williamsburg County, South Carolina to the late Caesar and Martha Coe Major. During her High School days, she drove a school bus and told vivid stories of what it was like to drive a bus on those long winding country roads. She loved driving the school bus. She moved to Troy, NY in the 1970's and primarily worked in the healthcare field. She was employed by Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY for 38 years and retired in 2015.

Earnestine was predeceased by her parents, Caesar and Martha Coe Major, and seven siblings, Jacob Sr., Derry Sr., Herbert Lee, Caesar Jr., Handsome Sr., Ida Mae Johnson, and Geneva Major.
She leaves too cherish her memory, her devoted husband, Reddick Harrison Jr., Troy, NY; two children, Tammy (Lewis) Parsons, Watervliet, NY and Philip (Marcia) Harrison, Troy, NY; five grandchildren who she adored, Elijah, Ziaire, Kahlysa, Anisa and Samad; siblings, James (Mary) Major, Colonie, NY, and Jimmy Lee Major, Troy, NY; brother and sister- in- law's; Sarah Mae Robinson, Schenectady, NY, Moses (Jennifer) Harrison, Jacksonville, FL, Gloria Jean Nettles, Tallahassee, FL and Taylor Burgess, Key West Florida; goddaughter, Andrea Foster, Colonie, NY; and all the people who affectionately called her Grandma and Ma because she treated them just like her own family; her special buddies and partners in crime, Shirley Tyson, Beulah Daniels,Joyce Daniels, Margaret York, and Mary (Punch) Jones all of Troy, NY, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whose lives she has touched.

Earnestine was a faithful and dedicated member of the 5th Avenue AME Zion Church in Troy, NY for over 40 years, where she served as President of the Deaconess Ministry, Vice President of the Home Missions Ministry, Class Leader and the Zionites. She loved doing work around her church. She had a talent for creating beautiful centerpieces for various events in the church and her community. She loved flowers, so she took great time in creating a beautiful garden of flowers inside and outside of her home. She was known for her caring and generous heart. Even through her sicknesses, she continued to let her light shine. She will be missed by many and she leaves a great legacy. To know her is to love her!
