COLONIE- Eda Brancatelli passed into eternal life on September 15, 2007. She was born September 30, 1919 in Albany and was the youngest of the Cacciola family.
Eda was predeceased by her five siblings Mella, Antoinette, Jennie, Pauline and Joseph and her nephews, Ray and Gene Groat and Jim Vellano.
She is the devoted mother of Michael (Sylvia) Brancatelli, Sondra (Michael) Rennick and Naomi (Garry) Stevens. She is the cherished grandmother to ten loving grandchildren: Faith (Ray) James; Ryan (Brooke) Rennick, Michael and Joy Rennick; Christy (Cyrus) Ferri; Amy (Tim) Gonzales; Aaron Brancatelli, Garry, Sara and Jim Stevens and the adoring great grandmother to Jacqueline, Alexander and Nicholas Rennick; Matthew, Mark and Michael Ferri; and Raia and Noah James. Eda is also survived by two nephews and one niece along with many special friends.
Eda's life exemplified a giving and gracious example to all who knew her, as the love and care she dedicated to her family and to her community knew no boundaries. Her legacy of God's hope, peace, forgiveness and love for people will always be present in the countless lives she touched.
Her family would like to thank her caregivers, Rita, Dawn, Emilia, Lisa, Rachel and Juliana. Their care and devotion granted Eda the continued joy of remaining home, surrounded by the love of her family.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 at Community Reformed Church, 155 & Sand Creek Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden.
