Eddie D. Cox

Eddie D. Cox was called home to be with the Lord on the morning of October 26, 2017. He was born to the late Elias Henry Cox and Elizabeth Cox in Kingston, NC on January 23, 1955. Eddie was raised in Albany, NY with his older brother the late Elias Cox Jr.
Eddie, or "Eddie C" as his family and friends often called him, attended and graduated Philip Schuyler High School. Throughout his life he would provide a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Some of his favorite things to do were fishing, cooking for friends and family, drag racing and dressing nice. He lived his life one day at a time, doing it his way every day.
Eddie leaves to mourn his Son Elias Cox, Fiancé Bernice Wilson, extended family Joyce Williams, Kenneth Williams and Kenneth C. Williams, God Son Rev. Marvin R. Williams. In addition played an active father figure role in the lives of Dashun, Shakira, Joewand, Chanell & Aysha. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 3 Morton Ave., Albany. A funeral service will be at 12 pm at the church. Burial will be private.
