Edison H. Handy

Edison H. Handy, 84, passed away on Friday, July 16, 2010 at his home. Ed was born in Schenectady to the late Earl and Frieda Handy. Ed loved his parrots and especially his dog, Snuffy. He had a love for wildlife, growing orchids; he was very artistic and devoted his life to his wife and family. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife. In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his grandson, Robert E. O'Rourke.
Ed is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce (Suits) Handy; his daughters, Marguerite A. (Bennie) Anderson and Nancy J. (Konrad) Langlie. He is the brother of Allen K. (Phyllis) Handy. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11:00am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A Calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery after the service.
