ALBANY – Edmund M. Bradley, 86, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Friday January 29, 2010 at the Inn of Community Hospice after a brief illness.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late James D. and Frances Brown Bradley. Ed was a WWII Army veteran having served as a combat medic. He crossed the English Channel and landed in France then to Holland and then Germany. He was employed as a plumber with Plumbers and Steamfitters Local # 7 for 61 years. Ed was an avid runner and enjoyed spending time with his devoted family. He was a member of the American Legion Post.
Ed is the beloved husband of 38 years to Katherine Polit Bradley. He is the brother of Frances (Harry) Rubino, twin sister Catherine Boyagian, Daniel Bradley and the late James Bradley, Helen Prall, Robert Bradley, Ruth Milgo and Anne Traeger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Community Hospice Inn and Rev. John Bradley for their kind and compassionate care.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 9:45 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Saratoga National VA Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave. Albany, NY 12206 in memory of Edmund M. Bradley.
