Edna Boyle

Schenectady – Edna F. Boyle, 86, passed away peacefully Sunday June 15, 2014 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Albany, she is the daughter of the late George A. Boyle and Jessie M. (Briggs) Boyle.

Edna graduated from Albany High School in 1946 and worked for Albany Memorial Hospital, Huyck Felt, and retired from the New York State Employee Benefits Program. She was an avid baseball fan and big supporter of the New York Yankees.

Edna is survived by her brothers, Don (Joan) Boyle Sr. and Richard (Arlene) Boyle; and her nieces and nephews, Lynn M. (Martin) McTague, Donald G. Boyle Jr., Simone M. (Shannon) Smith, Farin G.(Wenndy) Boyle, Scott D. Boyle and his former wife Tina M. Boyle, and Traci Ann (James) Boyle Whalen. She is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews and her dear friends, Ollie Champine, Lauren Keneston, Paul J. (Mellissa) Vincent.

Funeral services for Edna will be Friday June 20th at 7p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. Edna will be laid to rest on Saturday June 21st at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady.
