ALBANY – Edna M. Fischer, 61, of Albany and formerly of S. Schodack, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2007 at Barnwell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Valatie, after a brief illness.
Born in Albany, Edna was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Mae Hoghtaling Burnash. She worked for Matthew Bender (now known as Lexus Nexus) as a customer service representative for 25 years. She was active in her children's activities, following them to all their baseball, softball and football games. She was a wonderful and caring mother to all.
Edna is survived by her ex-husband and dear friend, Robert Fischer of Saratoga Springs; her loving children, Sharon A. Fischer (Michael DeSorbo) of Slingerlands, Roger T. Fischer of Watervliet and Patrick R. Fischer of Albany; her brother, Ned Burnash; her cherished granddaughter, Tiffany Marie Fischer; friend, Rosemary Marshall and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Albany. Calling hours at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene, 47 Liberty St. Catskill, NY 12414 in memory of Edna M.
