Edward B. Green

Colonie- Edward B. Green, 88, died on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at AMC Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Albany, NY, the son of the late Arthur E. and Mary (Coogan) Green. Edward resided in Colonie for the past 60 years. He graduated from Clarkson College in 1952 with a degree in Engineering. Edward spent his entire 35 year career employed with Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. He and his wife, Anne, enjoyed traveling upon his retirement.

Edward is survived by his twin daughters, Stephanie Wood and Pamela (Kevin) Fitzpatrick and his brother Arthur Green. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Debbie Green Meenan and six grandchildren; Samantha Danz, Areji Kinsler, Kaitlyn and Zachary Wood, & Patrick and Ian Green.

In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Anne W. Green, his son Shawn B. Green, and a grandson Conor L. Green.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends wishing to remember Edward make a donation in his name to Albany Medical Center Foundation, PO Box 8928, Albany, NY 12208 or the Loudonville Assisted Living Residence, 298 Albany Shaker Road, Loudonville, NY 12211.

Calling hours will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 10:00am at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Albany, NY 12211. Entombment will follow the mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
