Edward Salim Bhatti

Guilderland~ Edward Salim Bhatti

Edward Salim Bhatti was born on June 19, 1946 in Youngsonabad, Pakistan to Sohan and Pyari Lyall Bhatti. Edward lived an honorable life and peacefully passed into his eternal life at home on Nov 13, 2021.

He completed his School Education from Cathedral High School, Hall Road, Bachelors from Forman Christian College, and received a Law Degree from Law College, Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan.

He started his career as an Attorney in civil law and later worked as the Property Resource Coordinator for UP Church in Pakistan for Presbyterian Church Headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky USA.

Edward had been a member and an Elder of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Nabha Road, Lahore and served on the Medical Board and the Education Board of UP Church. He was an instrumental part of the negotiations with the Pakistani government for the Denationalization of FC College and additional church schools.

Edward got married to Sarwat on January 7, 1978 and the couple was blessed with a daughter, and two sons. Edward is survived by his loving wife Sarwat Bhatti, daughter, Sarika Sonia Joseph, (husband, Khorram Joseph), son, Sumar Salim Bhatti (wife, Sonya Bhatti), and son, Shajar Salim Bhatti (wife, Lori Bhatti). He was blessed with seven grandchildren, Joshua Saleem Joseph, Anusha Grace Joseph, Abimiel Saleem Joseph, Olivia Pate Bhatti, Sohan Salim Bhatti, Cyrus Salim Bhatti, and Shane Sumar Bhatti. Edward is also survived by his two sisters, Sarah Safdar, & Christina Yousaf, and his brother Asher Wasim Bhatti.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Sohan and Pyari Lyall Bhatti, his two brothers Hermond Javed Bhatti and Kenneth Azim Bhatti, and his grand baby boy.
