Edward G. Brennan, 79, passed away on Sunday June 8, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Port Dickinson, NY, he is the son of the late Marc and Jennie Brennan.
Edward proudly served his country in Germany during the Korean War in The United States Army. He worked most of his career as a fuel oil salesman, retiring from International Petroleum Traders. In 2005, he was named Oil Man of the Year by the Oil & Heat Institute of Eastern New York, becoming the first non-owner to be presented with this honor. Edward was an avid skier, belonging to many organizations including; Single Ski Club, Albany Ski Club, NY Capital District Ski Council and National Ski Patrol. He was also an Alpine Course Judge during the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. Edward was also a member of the Johnny Evers Golf League at Western Turnpike for more than 40 years.
Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Susan Doyle Brennan; and his daughters, Tracylynn (David) Patterson and Lisa Leigh (Jeffrey) Anderson; and his cherished grandchildren, Janelle Lynn Patterson, Kristopher Patterson, Thomas Anderson and Erin Anderson. He is also survived by his siblings; Bernice DeSerto, Patrick Brennan, Karen Decker, Paul Brennan, Marta Lang, John Brennan, Judy Mulford, Ralph Brennan, and Charles Brennan.
Edward was predeceased by his siblings; Marie Brennan, Anna Drumm, Frances King, Donald Brennan, Margaret Christiansen, and Elizabeth Brennan.

Funeral services for Edward will be Wednesday June 11th at 7 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Friday June 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
