GUILDERLAND- Edward Bryda "Ed", 95, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2022.
He was born on September 6, 1926 son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Surdyka) Bryda.
Ed served in the US Army from 1944-1946 with the 84th infantry in Germany. On November 7, 1952 he married Vivian Drowne. He worked for 17 years at Teledyne Industries in Troy as a Methods Engineer retiring in 1990.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years Vivian Bryda; brother, Donald Bryda and sister, Mary Hildenbrandt.
He is survived by his son, Michael Bryda (Sue); granddaughters, Jamie Gray (Matt), Annelise Bryda; great grandchildren, Jesse, Lucy and Casey Gray; sister, Patricia Pinkans; friend and companion, Mary "Mitzi" Haller and his nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 3-5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, Ny 12205. Interment will be held in the spring at Prospect Hill Cemetery with military honors.
