ALBANY – Edward C. Dixon, 68, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Edward was born on October 4, 1942 in Darvytown, Jamaica, West Indies and was the son of the late F. Theophilus and Enid (Jones) Dixon. He was a print screen technician for the All-U Active Wear in Albany where he was currently working for the past 15 years.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Nancy D. (Anderson) Dixon; his children, Rennix (Marie) and Susan of Jamaica, W.I., and special daughter, Rosemarie of Canada; his grandchildren, Shane, Rajay, Kelly Ann, Steve and Monique; his brothers, Alvin, Stifford and Keith of Jamaica, W.I.; his sisters, Esmie (Rupert) of Canada, Lucille of Florida and Carmen of Jamaica, W.I.; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his sisters, Clarisse and Mavis and his brother, Neville.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery in Poughkeepsie, NY. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
