Edward C. Oszarek

LOUDONVILLE – Edward C. Oszarek, 87, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Constantine and Victoria Oszarek and lived in Colonie for over fifty years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. After being honorably discharged from the military, Ed pursued a career as a Television Service Technician working at several local shops. He retired from Sears where he repaired many TV's at homes throughout the Capital Region. Ed was the beloved husband of 59 years to Marilyn H. Oszarek until her passing in 2009. He is survived by his daughter Jeanne M. (Thomas) Sheffer of Troy and his grandchildren, Wesley and Elizabeth Sheffer. Ed's family would like to thank the Colonie Senior Citizens and Meals on Wheels for the assistance and care and they gave him.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Watervliet.
