Edward F. Calvagno

Edward F. Calvagno, 63, of Troy, NY passed away on January 31st, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.

Edward was born on August 8th, 1958, to the late Anthony and Eileen Calvagno. Edward is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Frances M. Calvagno, his daughters: Ashley Calvagno and Jessica Lopez, and grandchildren: Gabriel Cushing and Angelina Shopmyer.

Edward was predeceased by his brother, John Calvagno. He is also survived by his siblings: Eileen Gurecki (Bill), Anne Calvagno, Anthony Calvagno (Alison), Mary Groat (Harold), Barbara Whitney (Bob), James Calvagno (Lisa Pitcher) and many nieces and nephews.

Edward was a hard worker who was employed by Casella Waste Systems as a truck driver. He spent many years as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Charleston, NY Fire Department. He was a dedicated family man, who enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dog, Echo. He was an accomplished bowler and avid Indianapolis Colts fan. His outgoing personality, sense of humor with an infectious laugh, and willingness to help everywhere he went, will be missed by all who met him.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm with a service to immediately follow at 1:00pm.
