Edward J. Czajkowski Iii
January 4, 1956 — August 19, 2018
Edward Joseph Czajkowski III, 62, of Schenectady NY, passed away on Sunday August 19th, 2018.
The son of the late Edward and Gladys (Vincent) Czajkowski, he is survived by his two sons, Edward (Carrie) of Austin TX, and Matthew (Kimberly) of Duanesburg NY; two granddaughters, Julianna and Natalie; brothers Michael (Kathy), Paul and David; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Debbie.
Ed retired from the United States Navy Reserve as a Petty Officer 1st Class, and the United States Postal Service as an Electronic Technician. His love for our country and the sea allowed him to explore the ocean on a submarine for many months. His main goal was to be a father and grandfather, showing up to your house with unique treasures, the keys to a new car or a thoughtful toy, was no surprise.
He moved from Schenectady to Duanesburg to avoid the crowds and enjoy the great outdoors, while creating the space to bring home all the amazing deals found at countless auctions. Ed had a love for finding and trying unique foods and sincerely enjoyed being a food connoisseur. Cars were his 3rd love after his kids and work; you never knew which vehicle he would be driving or where he was headed.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY on Saturday August 25, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Reception to follow calling hours. Military services will be on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
