Edward F. Ryan

Guilderland- Edward F. Ryan , 68, peacefully passed away February 8th, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ed was the son of the late John F. and Mary J. Ryan. He was the devoted husband to Kathleen Moran. They were married 45 years.

Ed was a graduate of Cathedral Academy, Cardinal McCloskey High School, and Siena College. Ed was in the ROTC program, and served in the US Army. He retired from the NYS Comptroller's Office in 2005.

Ed is survived by his wife Kathleen; sons: John (Christina) and Michael (Sharon) Ryan; grand children: Jacob, Molly, Gavin, Chelsea, and Courtney; and his siblings; John (Sharon), Rosemary (Edward), and Daniel (Stacie).

A green burial with a short service will be held at the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy Schenectady Road, Schenectady, 12309, on Saturday, February 13th at 9:30 am. A Celebration of Life liturgy led by The Inclusive Catholic Community will be held following the burial at Lynnwood Reformed Church, 3714 Carman Rd, Guilderland, at 11:00 am. All are welcome.
