Edward Gralow Jr.

March 18, 1921 — May 5, 2016

Guilderland- Edward "Ed Gray" Gralow , 95, Founder of the Gray Electric Co., Schenectady, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016. Born in Springfield, MA., he moved to Schenectady where he graduated from Mont Pleasant High School. He served 4 years as an Electricians Mate 1st Class in the Navy during WWII. In 1946 he started the Gray Electric Co., which is still operated 70 years later by his son.

He is survived by his son: Kenneth (Sheila) Gralow; daughter: Karen Gralow Nestor (Tom), and grandchildren: Jennifer, Alyson, Heather, Amber, Kara, and Nicole. He is predeceased by his wife of 70 years: Dorothy.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Wednesday, May 11th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A burial will take place at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, on Thursday May 12th, 2016 at 11 am.
