Edward Grant

MENANDS-Edward "Eddie" L. Grant, 56 passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn following a long battle with COPD. He now joins his late beloved wife Karen M. (Becker) Grant in heaven. He was born in Albany, NY the son of the late Arthur J. Grant, Jr. and Catherine (Kindlon) Grant. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Vulcan Development and was a residential and commercial painter. Edward was artistic, enjoyed drawing and then painting the end product. He was an avid Yankee and Giants fan and loved fishing on a hot summer day. Edward was a devoted loving husband to his wife of over 20 years and a dedicated father and grandfather to his daughters and grandchildren.
Edward is survived by two daughters Tracey Lynn Grant of Menands and Tonya Nacole Ramsey of Ravena; two grandchildren Arieonna Kirkpatrick and Alex O'Donnell. He is also survived by three sisters Carolyn (Charles) Carr, Linda(late Bob) Duboy and Annamarie (Joseph) DiToro; one brother Francis (Bridget) Grant and by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Edward was predeceased by his sister Catherine and by his brothers Arthur and Roy (Shirley) Grant.
The family of Edward Grant would like to give a special thank you to all the nurses that cared for him at Albany County Nursing Home and to the Hospice Inn Staff at St. Peter's Hospital for all their support.
