WEST ALBANY – Edward H. Mesick, 76, , passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Edward was born on February 9, 1937 in Albany and was the son of the late Edward L. and Helen (Haberman) Mesick. He was a lifelong West Albany resident and was a salesperson for Hudson Valley Paper Co. in Albany for over 40 years, before retiring.
In his earlier years, Edward was very active in the West Albany Fire Co. as well as being an officer. He is also a member of the Polish American Club and the Colonie Elks. He loved camping, fishing in earlier years, and traveling to Las Vegas every year. He was a big fan of the NY Giants, the NY Yankees and even the NY Mets.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of52 years, Doris A. (Bullock) Mesick; his two sons, James and Jeffrey Mesick both of West Albany; and his two cherished grandsons, Michael and Caleb Mesick. He is also the uncle of Dean Bullock and the late Christopher Bullock. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, William Bullock.
The family would like to thank St. Peter's Hospital for the wonderful care and the wonderful and loving people at the Hospice Inn. They made it so much easier on all.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
