COLONIE – Edward Hildenbrandt, 76, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2005 at the VA Hospital in Albany.
Edward was born on January 7, 1929 in Albany to the late John and Cora E. Rapp Hildenbrandt.
Edward served his country in the US Army during the Korean War, serving in Germany, attaining the rank of corporal. He worked as a driver for 25 years at Albany Welding. He was a very talented painter and drawer.
Edward is the father of Linda (William) Beach, Edward "Paul" (Marcia) Hildenbrandt, Michael (Ellen) Hildenbrandt, David (Dawn) Hildenbrandt, Denise and Tammy Hildenbrandt. He is the brother of Margaret Paulsen. He is the grandfather of Jessica, Michael, Edwin, Paul, Amanda, Genevieve, Whitney, Sean, Kaylee, Clayton, Shannon and Gabriel, and great grandfather, Ricky, Adrian, Mackensie and Amel. He is also survived by his beloved friend Carol Penta.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joan Bushy Hildenbrandt, brothers, Arthur and John II (twins) and Earnest "Sonny" and Joseph Hildenbrandt and sisters, Eleanor Enos and Emma Grinnell.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
