COLONIE – Edward J. Baranowski, 79, of Colonie, passed away on Friday December 21, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Baranowski.
Ed was raised in Amsterdam and resided in Colonie since 1973. Also known as Ed Baron, he was 5th generation builder and home inspector. He took great pride in children and grandchildren. Ed was dedicated to helping others and always gave of his time and talent to help those in need. Ed was devoted to his late wife, Marion Pizzingrillo Baranowski, who predeceased him in 2005.
He is the devoted father of Joseph Baranowski and his wife Mimi of Colonie and Bonnie Rose Houck and her husband Andrew of Cypress, CA. He is the cherished grandfather of Alissa, Kaitlyn and Joseph Sean Baranowski; Philip Adikes, Chelsea and Michael Hodis and Abigal Houck. He is the brother of Raymond and Joseph Baranowski. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Edward's life on Saturday January 19, 2008 at 12 noon at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd.
