Edward J. Thomas, Jr.

Edward Joseph Thomas, Jr. was born in Stonybrook, NY on February 5, 1983, and went home to Our Lord on August 7, 2014.
Edward was the only child of Anita C. Bailey-Thomas and Edward J. Thomas, Sr. He was dedicated to Our Lord at 9 months old by his parents. At the age of 5 years old he asked to be baptized and have Jesus for his Savior. So Edward was baptized on February 5, 1989. Both of these ceremonies were performed at Faith Baptist Church at 10 Teller Avenue, Coram NY, where Rev. Benesford Adams is Pastor.
Edward enjoyed working on cars and fixing bikes for the children. He liked to help others, especially children and the elderly. Edward enjoyed building models and being on the computer.
Edward was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Margaret Elizabeth and Solomon L. Bailey, Jr; his paternal grandfather Robert Ventures; uncles Solomon L. Baily, III and Lindsay M. Thomas, Jr.; aunt Alicia Moore and great-aunt Eleanor Acevedo.
Edward leaves to mourn his Mother, Anita C. Thomas; father Edward J. Thomas, Sr; daughter Maybelle L. Wager; paternal grandmother Ethel M. Thomas; uncle Roy N. Bailey; paternal siblings, Jennifer and Joseph Thomas; cousins Lesley Thomas, Sarah Thomas, Rakuan Jackson and BJ Thompson, and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Arbor Hill COGIC, 40 Lark Street, Albany. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church.
