Albany – Edward F. Matysiak, 71, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday April 21, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Albany he is the son of the late John and Anna Matysiak.
Edward was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Zaloga Post #1520, the Marine Corps. League Detachment #1405, and the Knights of Columbus Council #12669.
Edward is survived by his beloved wife Donna Matysiak, his sister-in laws; Denise Coates and Darlene Sears, and his brother-in-law John Coates Jr. He is also survived by nieces; Kelli Baccaro and Lauren Sears, great-niece Madelyn, and great-nephew Jacob.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Edward's name to Albany Hospice, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Edward on Saturday April 26th at 9:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumpter Ave. Guilderland. Callings hours will be Friday April 25th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd.
