Edward Parsons, Sr.

ALBANY- Edward L. Parsons Sr. courageously ended his earthly journey at the Albany Medical Center Hospital on July 18, 2007, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of the late Alma Louise and Chester Parsons Sr. Ed was educated in Albany public schools and served his country in the US Army. He met and married his wife, the late Dorothy B. Stratton Parsons. He was also predeceased by his son, Keith Parsons.
He is the proud father of Arthur Robinson, Edward (Shirley) Parsons Jr., Steven (Patricia) Parsons, Dwayne Parsons and Nicole Parsons. He is the brother of Rose McKnight, Geraldine (Chris) Parsons-Johnson and Freddie (Charles) Foulks Sr. He is the brother in law of Beverly (John) Landy, Ruth (Herman) Johnson and Lois Parsons.; Grandfather of Dominique, Dwayne Jr., and D'Marcus Parsons and Miasha & Menyiara Thomas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We will always cherish the memory of him.
Funeral services will be Tuesday evening at 6:00 at Wilborn Temple, COGIC, Swan & Lancaster Streets, Albany. Calling hours will be precede the service from 4 to 6 pm at Church. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
