Edward J. Savoie, 57, of Albany, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born in Albany on April 19, 1963, Edward was the son of Frederick and Joan (Taylor) Savoie.
Edward was born in Albany NY and lived in Voorheesville (from 1994-2010). He has resided in Albany since 2010.
Ed was formerly employed at St Anne's Institute.
His hobbies and interests included playing cards, listening to music (classic rock, country) and action movies.
Edward is survived by his wife, Cheryl Savoie. His daughters; Lisa Savoie-Ruthosky and her husband John Ruthosky, Sarah Savoie and her significant other Lenny Frasier, and his son Justin Savoie.
Surviving grandchildren include Isaiah Savoie, Noah Ruthosky, Baylee Thomas, Melody Thomas, Xavier Savoie and Bryannah Savoie.
Also survived by sisters; Linda Tobin and Diane Blaisdell and her husband Donald.
Several aunts cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Edward was predeceased by his son Matthew Savoie who died in 2000.
Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, Monday, June 22nd at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Inn at Peter's Hospital Albany.
