Edward John Self

Edward (Edbo) John Self, 43, joined his beloved angel, Grandpa Clifton Steinauer on April 11 2017. He will be held in the heart of his fiancé, Maureen Rizzuto of whom he shares many beautiful memories.

Edward is survived by his Mother Joyce (Richard) Hatch and his father Daniel Wm Self, Jr. He leaves on earth his beloved siblings; big brother Daniel Wm (Genieve) Self, III, big sister Dawn Marie (Timothy) Miller and baby sister Lisa Marie (James) Allison. Edward will be lovingly remembered by his many beloved nieces and nephews; Daniel Wm Self, IV, Filicia Antoinette Debrocky, Brendan Christopher Doyle, Tyler Alexander Self, Samuel Stephen Miller, Zachary Timothy Miller, Hailey Jane Allison, Giavanna DeSimone, Aiden Allison and Aria Allison.

Edbo was a favorite nickname used by his many friends whom he thought of as family. He will be dearly missed by them all. He's always had a larger than life heart that captured many over his years. He was loyal to the end and was truly appreciative of close friends whom shared the same spirit of friendship.

Edward enjoyed his work as a Stage Hand with the I.A.T.S.E. Local 14. He was blessed to not only love his work, but to also love the friends he worked with. Edward will be remembered as strong like a bull with a heart of gold and the gentle nature of an angel.

Please join his family and friends in an intimate service at his resting place held on April 29, 2017 from 11am to 1pm at the New Rural Cemetery, 330 3rd Ave Extension, Rensselaer, NY 12144.

A gathering will follow at the American Legion Melvin Roads Post, 200 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
