NEW BERLIN, NY Edward J. Slurff, 69, passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2022.
He was born on December 23, 1952 in Schenectady, son of the late Francis Slurff and Florence Anunziatta Dessormeau.
Ed will be remembered as a loving father, brother, uncle and friend. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards and cooking.
Ed was predeceased by his wife Cheryl Slurff and her son, Chet Bolinger.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Slurff; granddaughter, Lily Anne Bowman; David Slurff whom Ed raised with his late wife; siblings, Michael Frollini, Cindy Peppin (Mark Lane), Patricia McLean, Tracey Ambesi; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Bolinger and her children and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, October, 10, 2022 from 5-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A service will begin at 7pm. Interment will be on Tuesday, October 11 at 11am at Evergreen Memorial Park where he will be laid to rest with his wife Cheryl.
