Edward W. Boers, 85, died on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Glendale Nursing Home.
He was the son of the late Cornelius and Gertrude (Pipe) Boers and husband of the late Amy E. (Sagendorf) Boers. Father of Neil A. Boers and Cathy E. (Kevin) Porter; grandfather of Sean Porter and Emma Boers and brother of Gertrude.
Ed owned and operated Ed's Overhead Door's in Schenectady for many years before retiring.
A graveside service Friday at 12 noon at Memory Gardens in Colonie.
