Edwin R. Posluszny

COLONIE, NY – Edwin R. Posluszny, 87, passed away suddenly at home, on Sunday, January 24, 2010. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late John and Mary Posluszny. Mr. Posluszny has resided in Colonie for over 63 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country during World War II. Edwin worked for General Electric (KAPL) for over 40 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Colonie Elks and a communicant of St. Clare's Church. Edwin is the beloved husband of Regina F. (Plaske) Posluszny. He is the devoted father of Sandra (Jack) Keleher and Janice (Tony) Martin, all of Colonie. He is the cherished grandfather of Jason (Stacey) Keleher, Justin (Michelle) Keleher, Cory (Becky) Martin and Daniel, Amanda and Bethany Martin. He is the loving great-grandfather of Tarynn and Sidney Keleher and Jordan and Micah Martin. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Edwin was the brother of the late John Posluszny, Lottie Wyman, Helen Piltman and Virginia Sebesta.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. at St. Clare's Church, Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-soth of Central Ave).
