Edwin H. Tymann, 80, of Delmar, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at his home.
He was born in Albany on February 11, 1945 a son of the late Edwin R. and Frances E. (Halloran) Tymann.
Edwin was a graduate of Cardinal McCloskey Memorial High School in 1962, he then served in the US Army National Guard during the Vietnam War. He later worked in automobile sales in the Capital Region finishing his professional career as a bus driver for the Mohonasen School District. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and golfing as well as cheering on his two favorite sports teams, the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He also enjoyed relaxing in his recliner watching old Westerns on TV.
Edwin was predeceased by his wife Rose, and his son-in-law Kirt A. Kunkle.
He is survived by his children Deborah (James) Helfer of Selkirk NY, Michele Kunkle of Glenmont NY, Christopher Tymann of Castleton NY and stepson Roland (Barbara) Hirst of Howes Cave NY, his siblings Sue Ann Hempstead of Chesterfield MO, Terrance (Sue) Tymann of Englewood FL and Jeffrey (Carol) Tymann of Delmar NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren Logan and Mackenzie Kunkle, Meghan Helfer, Jessika Rourke, Jakob Tymann, Devan Countryman and Chelsey Hirst-Wei as well as many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with a celebration of life to immediately follow at 1:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
