Niskayuna- May 14th 2015, Eileen Joyce Beach, 67 of Meadow Lane, after a long illness, peacefully passed into the arms of the Lord surrounded by her loving family.
Eileen was born in Albany, New York to the late Louis and Helen Lantz. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Albany High School and Hudson Valley Community College with an A.A.S. degree and obtained an R.N. in nursing. She worked at several area medical facilities in the Tri-City area including Albany Memorial Hospital, and Community Health Plan in Latham and Seton Health Care.
What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family on camping trips and traveling. She also enjoyed tending flowers, animals and reading, especially history. People will remember her for her kind and gentle manner, her care and thoughtful love of family and friends and her faith in the Lord.
Eileen is survived by Douglas her loving husband of 44 years, and her sons, Christopher Beach of Niskayuna, James (Katie) Beach of Walpole, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her grandchildren Aidan, Alex and Zachary; her sisters Barbara (David) Perriman of Sedona, Arizona and Marilyn (William) Dockum of Saratoga Springs, New York; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
At Eileen's request there will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services that will be held Thursday, May 21st 2015 at St. George's Episcopal Church, 912 Route 146, Clifton Park, New York at 11:00am. Interment will be held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, 303 Sand Creek Road, Colonie, New York on Friday May 22nd, 2015 at 11:00am.

The family would like to thank the many health care workers at Boston's Dana Farber Cancer Institute, the Visiting Nurses' Care Choices especially Marsha Morette; The Community Hospice Program for their kind and compassionate care and advice especially Sue Stewart, Jo Leen Cordy, Kim Barnes and Jill Kolby. A special thank you goes out to Scott Underhill of St. George's Episcopal Church and the many thoughtful kind and helpful gestures made by friends and neighbors who made a trying time less painful.
