Albany – Eileen Martin, 67, passed away Sunday February 20, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family after a very long battle with cancer.
Eileen was born in Schoharie a daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Liddle and moved to Albany as a young woman. She was a devoted wife, super mom and loving grandmother. Eileen enjoyed watching cooking shows then preparing big meals for her family. She was a wonderful caregiver who always thought of others ahead of herself.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years William Martin, sons William (Vikki Adams) Martin and Russell Martin, step children: Patricia (Carlos) Ortiz, Michael (Maria) Martin and Terri Martin, cherished grandchildren Naveah Lynn and Hannah Mackenzie, siblings: Shirley Spaulding, Pat Ward, Toby Griebel, Carolyn Yowell, Susie Liddle, Robert Liddle and Mac Liddle and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday 7:00pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie with calling hours preceding the service from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. A graveside service will be Thursday 11:00am at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
