Central Bridge – Eileen Evans O'Dea, 53, passed away on Monday November 11, 2013 at Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, she is the daughter of Eugene Evans and the late Mary Lou Zanello Evans.
Eileen will be remembered for being a gifted artist, with numerous talents. She loved to write poetry, and even had a book of poems that were published. Eileen also loved to craft and make her own jewelry, which she sold at local craft events. She loved to garden, and will be remembered by her family as a true artisan.
Eileen is survived by her beloved husband Gregory of 29 years, her father Eugene Evans, and her loving sisters; Jean Coffey, and Michelle (Joseph) Picolla. She is also survived by four nieces, six nephews, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 16th at 9 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Central Ave. Albany. Calling hours will be held on Friday November 15th from 4 p.m. – 7p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
