Elaine Egnell, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2022, with her loving family by her side. Elaine was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Thelma Shipman.
Elaine retired from Ellis Hospital after many years, and then continued to work with her son Edward with General Dynamics.
She enjoyed bowling, family dinners and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her two brothers, Gilbert and Larry Shipman.
Elaine is survived by her siblings, Shirley Andras and Carrie Sisk, her children, Sherri L.(Ernie) Porter, David W. Starr, Gary W. Starr, Sr. and Edward W. Egnell III. Her grandchildren, Heather Starr, Gary Jr. Starr, Dakoda Puorto, Zachery Porter, Emilee Porter and Tyler Starr. She is also survived by one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 in Elaine's memory.
