April 27, 1930 — January 11, 2016
COLONIE - Elaine M. Smith, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Schuyler Ridge in Clifton Park.
Born in Albany, Elaine was the daughter of the late Paul and Charlotte (Toole) O'Brien. She grew up in the Capital District before moving to Nashua, New Hampshire. She then returned to Colonie in the early 2000's.
Elaine is survived by her loving sisters, Doris Urban and Diane Benanto; her sister-in-law, Jane O'Brien and many nieces and nephews, whom she adored. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Homer "Red" Smith and her brother, Tom O'Brien.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Schuyler Ridge for the excellent care given to Elaine.
Interment will be held at Memory Gardens in Colonie, at the convenience of the family.
